At Empawer, we are committed to providing ethical, professional, and supportive counselling and animal-assisted therapy services. However, it is important to acknowledge and clarify the scope of our responsibility and liability.
- Professional Conduct:
Empawer operates in accordance with established ethical guidelines and professional standards for mental health practitioners in India. Sessions are facilitated with care, skill, and due diligence appropriate to the nature of talk therapy and animal-assisted therapy. - Client Responsibility:
Therapy is a collaborative process. While the therapist provides support, guidance, and professional expertise, the client is responsible for their own decisions, actions, and application of therapeutic insights outside of the session. - Non-Compliance with Terms & Conditions:
If a client fails to adhere to the stated Terms & Conditions — including but not limited to session attendance, payment, respectful conduct, or cancellation policies — Empawer cannot be held liable for any consequences arising from such non-compliance. This includes emotional distress, scheduling disruptions, or financial disputes resulting from the client’s inaction or violation of agreed policies. - Scope of Services:
Empawer does not offer medical, legal, or financial advice. Our services are not a substitute for psychiatric evaluation, medication, or emergency interventions. In cases of acute psychiatric emergencies or crises, clients are advised to seek immediate help from emergency services or licensed medical professionals. - Animal-Assisted Therapy Disclaimer:
While our therapy animals are trained and handled responsibly, interactions with animals are inherently unpredictable. Clients are expected to follow safety guidelines provided during sessions. Empawer is not liable for incidents that occur due to the client’s negligence, disregard of safety instructions, or inappropriate behavior around therapy animals. - Force Majeure:
Empawer shall not be liable for any failure or delay in delivering services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet outages, health emergencies, or government regulations.
By engaging in services offered by Empawer, clients acknowledge and agree to this liability policy and its terms. This policy is subject to revision, and continued use of services implies acceptance of any updates.
